letter to a visionless leader
Dear visionless leader,
I really need you so step up to the plate. I’m tired of waking up every day and showing up looking for someone to follow – and then I find you. I want to go somewhere. I need a place to go. I just can’t come up with the place alone. That’s your job: create a picture of a brighter future that is worth striving for. I’m ok if we fail. I’m ok if we fall way short, but I sure want to go down swinging. I want to strive as hard and as long and as tenaciously as I can and then rest in the fact that I was the one who tried to get there.
Here’s the deal: I want to desperately go after something. Something worth going after. I need you to help me catch the vision and then create a path to get there. I’ll work hard. I’ll grow and learn. I’ll even make you look good. Just give me the chance.
